I was asked to write a song which described itself as it went on, which I thought was an interesting challenge. I like the way it worked out. Is it dark? Oh, yeah.

This part of the song is where the music stops
You hear the voice of a broken man
He talks about how it all went wrong
Remembers how it all began
A chance encounter in the park
A smile, a look, a meaning glance
The moment when they felt a spark
Beginnings of a doomed romance

After a little interlude

He thinks about the bad old days
When towers tumbled in the rain
An argument across the phone
Connections broken in the night
